Who We Are
Baptist Tabernacle was founded on October 17th, 1897 (See History) and our church building at Regent & Division Streets in Wilkes-Barre, PA Stands on the lot that was purchased in February 1920. Originally only the 1st floor was constructed. Then, on Easter Sunday in 1957, the 2nd-floor new sanctuary was dedicated.
Our Church, of course, is much more than the building in which we congregate to celebrate the load. It is a Christian community, congregation and a true church Family. Physical buildings, improvements and technology change but the essence of our church is our church covenant (See Our Church).
